In the 21st century, it will be unbelievable that people still live in the caves. But, this truth that you will find in one of the cities of Afghanistan in the middle of this country, “Bamyan City”. Bamyan that can be translated as "The Place of Shining Light” has always been a favorite among travellers, due to its incredible natural beauty and it's cultural heritage such as Ghoghola city, zuhak city, blue lakes of Amir, Statue of Buddha and thousands of caves that are dotted around the famous statue of Buddha.
This photo is about the cave-dwellers of Bamyan that are suffering from poverty, health issues and deadly animals attack. These caves were created by the Buddhist monks for meditation and retreat, but now its home to the Afghan poor families who has nowhere to go
