Comment: This picture was taken on a roadtrip through Iran in September.

About two hours from Isfahan, heading towards Teheran, the sun tilted towards the horizon. While looking for a hidden place to stay for the night this old caravanserai ruin appeared. It took a while to find a viable way inside, but it was worth the effort. Inside the old caravanserai with the Milky Way above it, you could almost hear the camels panting and the travellers telling their stories while resting in the yard.

I took this picture at midnight, just before the moon rose behind the horizon, in an attempt to capture the feeling of a magical Persian night.
